What Varhugi is
A web product that trains your staff to recognise and respond to the most common attacks, phishing, password leaks, AI-enabled scams. Five-minute modules every month, a verifiable certificate for each completion, and reports that stand up to an audit. All in Icelandic.
Why Varhugi exists
International tools are too long, too expensive, and badly translated. Small and mid-sized organisations need training their staff actually finish, not a file proving they started it. Varhugi was built to close that gap and turn security awareness into an easy monthly habit.
Who is behind Varhugi
Varhugi was founded and is run by Valdimar Már Pétursson. Valdimar holds a business degree from the University of Iceland and also studied computer science at Reykjavik University. He has worked in information technology for a number of years, both in in-house IT departments and in managed services (MSP) looking after the IT of many companies. There he saw time and again that what decided the outcome was not the equipment but the people: whether an employee recognised the fraudulent email, paused at an unexpected request and knew where to report it. Varhugi grew out of that experience and has one goal: that staff who complete training with Varhugi carry genuine security awareness into their everyday work.
